For the first time in six years, Amanda’s mom and stepdad have decided to take a trip back to Blackstone Valley. Joining them are Amanda’s stepsister, Alyssa and Amanda’s best friend, Jessica. During their stay, Amanda notices a distinct change in Alyssa’s behavior as she watches her grow into a much happier person. The change makes her question her own life.
While Amanda tries to figure out what she wants for her future, she also has to play peacekeeper between her malicious mom, Alyssa and Jessica.
How I came up with Alyssa
I wrote Alyssa after not having written at all for about nine years. What sparked me to start writing again, was getting to know another artist in 2021, who is now my husband.
